It’s with a warm heart that we share some truly wonderful news regarding the legendary Akira Toriyama. Just this past Friday, July 25, at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, our beloved author was posthumously inducted into the prestigious Will Eisner Comic Awards Hall of Fame. This incredible honour, often considered the "Oscars of the comics industry," celebrates his profound and lasting impact on the world of manga and beyond, solidifying his place among the greatest creators of all time.

Fans have more to look forward to with exciting developments in the animated world of *Dragon Ball*. An "enhanced edition" of the anime, *Dragon Ball Super: Beerus*, featuring Toriyama’s original work, story, and character designs, is set to premiere in Fall 2026. This promises a fresh take on the "Battle of Gods" storyline with updated animation that aims to reflect his vision even more closely.
