These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the BookClub website at bookclub.com.mt and any purchase you make from us. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

BookClub operates the online store at bookclub.com.mt, serving customers in Malta and Gozo. Our VAT registration number is MT 31647635. You can reach us at customer-service@bookclub.com.mt.

2. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order you are making an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only once we confirm and dispatch your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example if an item is out of stock, incorrectly priced, or if we are unable to verify your details — in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full.

3. Products and pricing

We take care to describe and price our products accurately. All prices are shown in Euro (€) and include VAT where applicable. Product images are for illustration; actual editions, covers, or packaging may vary. If we discover a pricing or description error affecting your order, we will contact you before proceeding.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at the time of purchase through our secure checkout. We do not store your full card details.

5. Delivery

Delivery timeframes and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Returns and refunds

Your right to return items and receive refunds is set out in our Returns & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights as a consumer under Maltese and EU consumer protection law, including the right of withdrawal on distance purchases and your rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to BookClub and may not be reproduced without our permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

10. Limitation of liability

We provide our website and products with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for your statutory consumer rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Maltese courts.
